The Birth Resource Network of Gainesville (BRiNG) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing together one place for pregnancy, birth, postpartum, newborn, and breastfeeding resources to growing families in Gainesville, FL and Alachua County.

The Birth Resource Network of Gainesville (BRiNG) was originally founded on September 4th, 2010 to connect and network with other birth workers in our community.

Mission

BRiNG: Birth Resource Network of Gainesville is dedicated to fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and well-informed perinatal health community. We connect families with compassionate, evidence-based care by supporting birth professionals, advocating for equitable resources, and providing education that empowers individuals to make informed choices throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Our goal is to create a comprehensive, centralized resource hub where families can easily find the support, services, and professionals they need throughout their parenting journey.

Vision

We envision a thriving, interconnected community where every individual has access to high-quality, respectful, and culturally competent perinatal health care. Through collaboration, education, and advocacy, BRiNG aims to enhance the well-being of birthing individuals, families, and birth professionals in Gainesville and beyond. By serving as a trusted, one-stop resource for perinatal health services, we strive to make navigating the journey from pregnancy to parenthood easier and more accessible for all.

Values

Compassion – We prioritize kindness, empathy, and respect in every aspect of our work, recognizing the unique needs and experiences of all families.

Innovation – We embrace creativity and forward-thinking solutions to enhance the support and resources available to the perinatal health community.

Accessibility – We are committed to making vital perinatal health services and resources easy to find and navigate, ensuring that every family has the support they need in one place.

Our Commitment to Equity and Reproductive Justice

We acknowledge that Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQIA+ individuals, people with disabilities, those in larger bodies, and families with low incomes often face significant barriers to accessing safe, respectful, and informed perinatal care. BRiNG is committed to reducing these inequities and advocating for reproductive justice for all birthing people, regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, culture, immigration status, or family structure.
